Nate and others -- this is not very scientific but, supposedly, the use of synthetic oil does not work very well in the synchro rings. I have also come across the advice not to use it in transmissions somewhere else, but I can't remember at this time. Sorry that this isn't more authoritative. Sten "Nate t.
