I leased a 1998 900S Convertible two years ago and absolutely love it. I would highly advise test driving both the S and SE. When I did (in 98) I found the turbo lag of the SE to be horrible. The S has a 2.3L 4 Cyl. versus a 2.0L for the SE giving it significantly better low end torque. This really makes a big difference when you want to cross a busy street. With the SE you step on the gas and wait for about 4 seconds until the turbo kicks in. Kind of scary when the oncoming traffic is doing 60 MPH. Also the S is a couple of grand less. I just checked on KBB.COM and the wholesale value of a '96 is only $16K (I assumed 50K miles). That is a great deal on one of the classiest convertibles out there. Make sure you check out the top thouroughly as it costs about $5K to replace. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet's Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet - Free!
