Subject: Re: 900 vs 9000

I want to mention, that the 900(2) and the 9-3 nearly look the same form outside and inside but they are dramatical different cars. There can be not a big difference in the fuel consumption cause they use the same engine but the crash behaviour for what SAAB was known was extrem bad on the 900(2). The 900(2) was only rated ** of **** on the FIA crash test cause the GM platform is too weak especially in the front end. The old 900 and the 9000 were rated much higher in the past. That improoved a little when the 9-3 came with a lot of modifications, but it still suffers from the GM platform. Hopefully the new 900/93 will be better in 2002!
