I've got a troublesome 88 900s coupe that normally runs in the 1/2 to 3/4 range of the temperature gauge. I'm told via this newsgroup that this is NORMAL. This behavior, once I saw it as such, is after all fairly consistent. In addition, despite what would be normal logic in ANY other car in the known universe, the a/c and regular fans - not even on hot - actually seem to help ventilate the heat just as well as having one's heater on full defrost (so to avoid cooking oneself below the shoulders). The well-known logic of putting the heater on and blowing off the residual heat just had to be put on the back shelf, mentally. Ah, Saab. Stephen Goodman * The free Loop of the Week!
