Obviously hard driving means more wear to the engine, but I don't think there's an absolute connection between the two. My 9000 T16 has 105K Km and is now going to the shop for what probably is a bad head gasket. I sometimes drove it fast but never to the red line. You, on the other hand, drive your car all the way and have done twice the Kms. So I think that everything else being the same, it all boils down to LUCK. If you have it your car may last for 300000 Km (some do). If you don't it may blow out with 50000 Km. I just hope I'm in the first category :-) Carlos A. R.
