I suddenly lost steering fluid after some work was done on the engine. I was told a new rack was needed and to top up the fluid with auto transmission fluid until it is fitted. I am wondering how important it is to use the correct SAAB recommended fluid? Maybe it would leak more slowly if it were more viscous? Any help would be appreciated. -- Julian J. Myers
