The bypass valve is EASY to replace. On my 9000 in took me about 20min, and it could have been done faster if necessary. All you need is a screwdriver. You may need to plug some hooses for cooling water, but this is nothing to worry about. Morgan, when the bypass valve is leaking, air that has already been measured by the air mass meter is released into open air, which makes the air/fuel mixture to be all wrong. This is what causes the frequent stalling...
