The same symptoms and remedies (revving the engine). It was the brushes in the regulator, although I replace the regulator for about $40.00. Getting the brushes done would be a low-cost solution, and I'll probably do that next time. It's a bit of a tricky relacement, but I was ble to do it without removing the altermnator. Good luck.
