I have a 9-5 and a 900SE. Both of them put brake dust on the front wheels worse than the rear, but I don't know of comparisions to other brands, as to which is worse. I do know that it will come off perfectly well with just water, and I don't wash all that frequently. I haven't noticed any damage to my 6 year old 900, and don't expect any on my 9-5. If yours won't come off when you wipe with a sponge, then your brakes are made of something different than mine!
