No, this doesnt sound normal at all. Midway orange is no more that ~0.4bar, base boost level. Should be more even during really hot days. Mike: 1. First check your sparkplugs. Use nothing else than what saab recommends (which should be NGK BCPR7ES-11 even in the US, right?). *Carefully* check the gap and adjust to 1.1mm, nothing more, nothing less. This is important!! 2. If changing/adjusting sparkplugs doesnt help, I would suspect you have a problem with your DI unit. Try to switch no a unit that you know is working, maybe Saab can let you borrow one for an hour or so. 3. Maybe you should also check for headgasket problems. While having removed the DI unit and all sparks, check the cylinders: The top of the cylinder should be dark, not shining metal....if its not dark, you might suspect there is water (from a leaking headgasket) comming in.....not fun.
