I believe the last model year you can get SAAB shop manauals for the 9000 is '92. No. I am talking about Haynes or Bentley. I am talking about those published by SAAB. While Haynes is OK to help in most service and repairs, sometimes you just need to get to the nitty gritty to do the job. From this perspective '92 is a model year I would consider. Take my recent experience for solving a starting problem for the '94 9000CS for example. If I was not able to get my hands on the pin numbers and descriptions of the ECU by looking up the shop manual, I never would have found that there was no voltage on certain pins in it (basically the power supply to the ECU) to have traced to the source of the problem. I got that particular section of shop manual form someone who's selling it on the web, for which I am very grateful. I believe SAAB is turning potential customers away by refusing to sell shop manuals to owners of the car. coxinga -- Coxinga/ The 17th century warlord, son of a pirate, who was bestowed the last name of Ming emperors.
