Subject: 84 transmission



Hi again

My 84 needs some transmission work - it makes grinding noises so it
probably is something more than the clutch, I'd imagine.

Is this something a weekend mechanic can do? I've done brakes,
alternators, pumps and such - but never a transmission. Is
replacing/rebuilding a transmission tricky on this car? Does it require
very special tools and know how? Does anyone have any suggestions as to
what manual would help me best?
