I haven't driven our 1992 Turbo Convertible (5-speed) for awhile, but my wife complained it was cutting out on her. We had a shop look at it based on that vague description but nothing was found. After driving for several days, I found that: 1. Once in a while (maybe once every ten minutes based on normal shifting patterns in city driving) when the clutch pedal is depressed the engine will cut out completely. I don't know if the electrical system is involved. Steering goes dead, etc. 2. Normally letting the clutch out and engaging the gears starts it back up fine. If the speed is very slow it will not restart and the ignition must be used. 3. I have not been able to determine if this happens on hilly or flat terrain, although I suspect the former to be the case. 4. This does not appear to happen at highway speeds. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
