group, I know that the ignition key/switch is a standard repair item on these cars. I went to the Saab dealer on Monday, and tried to get a key made. He copied my key which works the ignition, and if carefully used, the driver's door. It worked the same, A bit notchy in the ignition and carefully (retract a bit then turn) operated the driver's door. He took the VIN and made a key from the code. It worked nothing! I guess the car has had some of the cylinders replaced. What is a guy to do? I would like one key to operate all 4 cylinders. Can these be set at a locksmith, or is there a Saab solution to this where a guy has to buy 4 cylinders and a key set to fix it. If so, what does this cost? Do I nee to set up my own business to get a satisfactory result, here, or has someone else done this? Thanks, Keith -- Keith Grider Halliday Technologies Inc.
