The Brake accumulator is for the ABS and this is correct. The US model 900 did not have ABS brakes. As for the "Battery" comment that is good to know? When referring to an accumulator on an 8 valve car one would assume fuel accumulator as with earlier Saab 900 which was located in the fuel system to prevent problems with upper and lower chamber pressure in the fuel distributor. Another term Accumulator could be for the AC on American cars. Hopefully this will help!
