I use Militec-1 because it works. It reduces friction and wear. In my 83 900T 5 spd the metal sludge on the drain plug disappeared after I started using it. It was the same way in my 87 900S and I use it in my 87 9000S. My 9000 has over 192,000 miles on it, has no upper valve train noise and uses no oil. It runs better now than it did, when I bought it used with 145,890. Like I said. The stuff works. The U.S. Navy ran an 18 month test and it has many applications.
