Jeremy, There is a web page that outlines the transmission swap from automatic to manual. that part is pretty straight forward. The problem is getting the wiring harness and associated computers installed into the 85 so that the engine will run. Not impossible, just more work. Also, you may have to change the fuel pump as well. Others may have more input here. Is the engine blowing a lot of oil? (indicative of a motor down on compression and, therefore, horespower)Does it 'rattle' at idle? (indicative of worn bearings).
