I have been hearing belt noise for sometime and was having a problem telling which one it was (87 900 turbo SPG). Two days ago the idler pulley sheared off, it runs on the same belt for the crankshaft and the power steering pump.I know I have heard about replacing crank pulleys before in this NG and I am still hearing the same belt noise after replacing the idler pulley and am wondering if I am just putting a band-aid on things and if I should replace the crank pulley. I am not aware of what may happen if I dont! Any input is appreciated as I suspect the pulley is DEALER only and probably $$$$$,but I dont want to damage anything! TIA -Jim HAMMERSPGnopsamAIL.COM
