If you have a Clarion unit, you might want to consider sending yours to Clarion for an overhaul. I did that with the unit in my 87 9000S over a year ago. It cost me $80, and the unit came back like new. They replaced all of the lights, the cassette mechanism and repaired the circuit breaks that caused problems. Mine is still going strong.
