my 88 car has 126,000 miles. i lose about a quart of oil every 2000 miles which i heard is not bad. the dealer changes the oil with 5/30 but someone said to switch to 10/30 or 10/40 or 20/50 and i'm not sure which is best to use? also, is it a good idea to use something like stp oil treatment or restore? some swear by prolong or is best to just change the oil very 3000 or so and forget adding other stuff? someone said they can actually harm engines but i don't know what's the truth here. thank you
