hello, well, my understanding is that the auto tranny is a little on the whimpy side in these (fortunately mine is a 5spd), but if you also have the 8v Turbo, and not the 16v it should help extend the tranny life. i have seen posts indicating that you can expect to get up to 130,000 miles (maybe a little more depending on driving, etc) on the auto tranny. otherwise it sounds pretty good. -- Nate t.
