The same thing happend on my old 83 900T with the beige/tan cloth seats.
I went to a local auto upholstery shop. They did a fix and reinforced
the bottom. The metal straps have pulled  out from the strips that hold
them in place. The fix on my drivers seat was about $75, if I remember
correctly. This was several years ago.
