Saab guru's, I recently bought a 1993 SAAB 900 S (3 door, no turbo, 4cyl, 2.1 liter, 16-valve DOHC, 3 speed auto trans), 42,000 miles, one owner, very clean, garaged, driven by an old lady to the store, church and the post office...etc...Quite a find really, and after checking public records on the VIN and some other information I decided to secure the purchase, flew to the city of sale and drove it 1,000 miles home trouble free. A fairy tale story. I love this car, it is a tank, I have never felt safer in a car in my life. But I put a lot of miles on a car in a year with my profession and I have buried a half dozen cars already in my life, stomped them into a mud hole, and am trying to anticipate the future with this car. I need some advice, from wise Saab people who know and love this car (the last year of the classic 900 body style). Can you suggest books or manuals to buy, Do you know the common problems and idisyncracies of this car (ie, I live in Florida and this car, being made for colder climates, runs at 3/4 in the temperature guage, I was freaked out!). A cannon of contacts, interenet links, phone numbers, people to e-mail are welcomed... I will take anything to begin to gather this valuable information, I want to know this car inside and out. I want to keep this car forever. Thanks for your help. Cliff, decoynopsamet.
