Hi, The AMM and plug sits on the large rubber hose measuring the airflow towards the manifold. The plug has a trapez-like shape. Try to unplug this and clean off dust on the electrical contacts. I had this problem, it caused lots headache for the SAAB garage as I returned the car several times. In the end they located the AMM and suggested a replacement ~ £250. But luckily they did not have the the AMM in stock, it turned out that just the unplugging and cleaning the contacts did the trick. This was more than a year ago and I had no problems since. That said, it is only one of many possibilities. Ken's post cover the other possibilities. The AIC valve collects dirt and should be cleaned. In fact the whole inlet system collects lots of grime, presumably due to oil mist from the turbo.
