Subject: TRANSMISSION: TRYING TO REMOVE

I am still waiting for my manual for my 1989 Saab 9000 CD turbo...I am trying to pull out this AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (HP4/ 18) from this car. I am having a hard time removing the torque converter bolts (17mm) which I am trying to access having removed the starter. I don't think there is enough horizontal room to slide out this tranny. Has anyone here removed this tranny without removing these bolts? Also I am confused about screwing up the timing marks. When I reinstall this unit, Does the torque converter only bolt up in one pattern (Is it idiot proof or can this be screwed up) ? Todd Wisconsin
