The only things you might run into is the need for a replacement compressor, a receiver/dryer and expansion coil. If the pulleys for the belts are bad you will have to replace them. You won't know until the system is checked out. I had an 87 900S and currently own an 87 9000S 5 spd. I had to replace the A/C compressor the first year I had the 9000. The rebuilt compressor cost me about $308 including shipping, Impex Distributors/1-800-736-3550, and my Saab indy installed it with a new rec/dryer, expansion valve and a pound of freon for just under $400. Do your homework. If you take the car to a dealer, they are more than likely to put serious hurt on you pocket.
