Subject: screeching clutch

I just had my clutch replaced on my 1993 900s by a non-saab specialist although the guy was European and had worked on saabs before. The clutch was on it's way out and there was an intermittent screech due to the thrust bearing. What finally led to getting the work done was the slave cylinder died and leaked the hydraulic fluid everywhere (one morning no clutch). I had hoped that the new clutch would be free from noise but....guess what! The screech is back and worse than ever. I called the mechanic but by the time I saw him the noise had settled down......then of course it starts again. When I did see him he guessed that the noise had been there before because he showed me the old thrust bearing and the groove it had worn on the old clutch. I don't want this to happen again. What needs to be adjusted. I hope the mechanic will know but realize it helps if I have some idea! Any advice welcome!
