Subject: CONCERNING: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

I was told that it's not that the Saab transmissions are junk or poorly made, the problem lies in the valve bodies, I understand that the tolerances are so tight that slight dirt can create real problems...I was also told that 90% of all Saab Automatic transmissions that fail the problems are usually attributed to the valves internally. Any thoughts Thanks Todd Ken Bell wrote in message <8mvnbg$plg$1nopsam.panix.com>... >In article <39933d03$0$66398$392904a7nopsam.execpc.com>, >Todd <katynopsamdcs.com> wrote: >>I need an automatic transmission for my 1989 Saab 9000 CD turbo (HP ???) >> >>I got a price of a rebuilt for about $ 2000 for a decent auto yard >> >>One place gave me a price of 1500...this guy is shifty though > >Well, so is the transmission, no?
