Sounds like you have fixed your coolant leak, But just to let you know the water pump does not create the presure in your cooling system. It only circulates the coolant. The presure comes from the expansion of the coolant as it heats up the cap on your resovoir allows any presure above 15 psi escape to regulate the presure.
