Hello to everyone again, Firstly I must apologize for taking nearly one whole month from the last update to this one. I have just been so busy recently more so than I can ever remember ! I got my car back from being repaired just over two weeks ago. Glad to have it back, but not 100% happy with the repairs carried out so it will be going back again in the near future to have the niggly problems sorted out. As well as getting my Convertible back, I have acquired an early 1984 model 900 Aero which is generally in very good condition just needs a few fairly minor mechanical problems sorting out which I am going to do myself, starting when I've finished writing this update ! I've been lead to believe that the first year they produced the 900 Aero / SPG it was rated at 195 BHP. The most powerful standard 900 ever manufactured. It is certainly very fast ! We paid a visit to the SOC national at Tatton Park two weeks ago. Good to meet some of the people I have regular e-mail correspondence with. An enjoyable day out and I also managed to pick up a few bits for the Aero. Since it has been nearly a month since the last update, myself and Paul have had our work cut out to catch up with all the e-mails I've received during this time and adding new material to the site. So here we go....... Seven new additions to the Gallery ! Bob Hoy's 2 door saloon, Nicholas Elliott's 900 Carlsson, Angus Smith's 900T 8v, Andrei Iliev's 4 door saloon, Olivier Farvacque's 900S Convertible, Josh Ryan's 900 SPG and to be added very shortly Julian Lawless' 900 Ruby. Thanks to all. Numerous new Mileage contributions. Thanks to Ian Race, Jos Wijdeven, Bob Hoy, Andrew & Mary Chapple, Angus Smith, Pete Ephland, Olivier Farvacque, Bob Kalweit, Mike Collins and Baron J Henryck. Paul has added a few of the pictures we took at the SOC National at Tatton Park two weeks ago to the Events section. The long awaited second part of the Saab 900 'Form and Function' book has been added at long last to the Features section, together with a link to the James Bond Saab 900. Thanks to John Winter for sending the link in. There have been a few new Saab Specialist links both in the U.K. and the U.S.A added to the Links section, together with a new Recommended Specialist from Dave Molly. Other new links include 'The Italian Saab 900 Convertible Club' and Andrei Iliev's 'The Saab Way'. Pictures of Malbrad's Saab pick up which was a Tatton Park have also been added to the 'Miscellaneous' section of the Gallery. As always there are lots of new ideas in the pipeline. The next section of the Saab 'Form and Function' book will be added over the next few weeks. To celebrate my acquisition of the 900 Aero I will be adding a review of the 900 Aero / SPG run by 'Motor' in September 1984 which incidentally is the same month my car was first registered ! Paul is hoping to write his long awaited article on the safety aspects of the Saab 900 ready for the next update. There are also several longer term plans which we will let you know about closer to the time. The new Poll 'Who does your maintenance' is running well. Please vote if you haven't already done so. Please also remember that there is only one week left to run on the current Competition to win a genuine '1991 Saab 900 accessories catalogue' The question is - 'What year did the Saab 900 first appear on the market ?' A clue to the answer can be found in the 'Features' section, in the 'History of the 900' feature. Have a go at the answer you've got nothing to lose. If you haven't already done so don't forget to join the Mailing list, and be kept informed of updates to this site. The volume of traffic to www.nospam is increasing daily. Thanks to everyone who visits the site and continues to motivate us to keep adding to the site and hopefully make it the most comprehensive Classic 900 site on the web. Keep on Saabing ! Simon. http://www.nospam "The Premier Saab 900 site"
