I just picked up the 88 900s sedan I just bought. It has a roaring noise from the front end somewhere while driving. It doesn't do it while idling, but it does do it at most speeds while moving faster than 25 or 30. I guess it could be the tires (they are no-name tires). The previous owner said he'd just replaced the CV joints on one side. What would a front wheel bearing sound like? Or the final drive unit in the trans.? It had a trans. rebuild (auto) in 1998 (about 20,000 miles ago). Any suggestions? Or could it be inherent in the car with these tires? It's pretty loud for tires though. Larry
