I have a '78 99 five door Saab for sale. The car started life as a Turbo, but the Turbo engine was replaced by the previous owner. He installed an '87 16 valve 900S engine. The engine is in good shape and is probably worth more than the rest of the car. It has some minor body damage. The transmission also has a problem selecting all of the gears. The previous owner jammed it into reverse to try to get out of the way of a car that was backing up and did not see him. I suspect a shift fork problem but I haven't looked at it because of a lack of interest on my part. I was given the car because the previous owner owed me some money and he thought that I needed another Saab. It donated the starter to repair another car.
