Direct Ignition unit. Sits on top of the cylinder head. Easily removed by four bolts. The unit contains four sealed high tension coils, one for each spark plug. In contract to ordinary 12 V ignition coils, the DI coils are supplied by 400 volts on the primary. Hence the coils can be smaller, but the voltage is dangerous - on both sides ! Johannes
