along similar lines - are there any differences between my 1990 900 turbo 16S manual transmission and ones fitted to older 900s (with or without turbo) or are all classic 900 manual transmissions the same? My transmission has seen better days and I can pick up a whole car circa 1986 for the equivalent I would pay to get my transmission rebuilt and I'm competent enough to switch them myself. btw every place I've read says that to work on the transmission means engine out, no problem, but I wondered if anyone has tried with the engine in place and what their experiences were? cheers all David Todd wrote: > Does anyone know if a 1987 saab automatic transmission will work ok in a > 1989 Saab? > > I have a 1989 9000 Saab CD Turbo with a bad Automatic Transmission, I found > a 1987 9000 turbo, will this fit?? > > Thank You > > Todd > Wisconsin
