G. > > '87 900 Turbo 16v > Athlon 650 - NT4/W2K It sure sounds like your pump has had it. It will get worse. Some years ago I replaced the pump on my old 86 turbo. Afterwards, and after I obtained a permanent scar on my left forearm, I learned of a trick that the Saab mechanics use that makes the process much easier. Do not try to remove the alternator from its bracket (the firewall gets in the way). Simply remove the bracket with the attached alternator from the engine. With this knowledge it is a simple job. You might as well replace all the belts while you are at it. Good luck, R. Frist
