Over here in the UK most new cars are usually fitted with at least a basic stereo as standard equipment. When I bought my car I had a look at some other manufacturers models including (and I hang my head in shame for confessing this in a Saab newsgroup) one from a German manufacturer with a blue and white badge on the bonnet. One thing which put me off that car was being expected to pay 700 UKP extra for a basic stereo when Saab offered one as standard equipment. The Saab CD changer was an optional extra. OTOH we do pay more our cars than people in mainland Europe as I believe most UK models have a higher specification as standard. Not only do we drive on the wrong side of the road we enjoy our creature comforts :) Kevin Lee home page:www.keltia4.co.uk
