There was a few early Saab 9-3 Cab that did not have the wires in the car to let you use the Saab audio systems speakers also the cab did not have the mic built into the mirror / lamp assem around 1999 the cabs started to have the wires to interface the hands free kit into the audio system , but the 2000 model year I fitted a Nokia too still did not have the built in mic but all the 3dr 5dr did ( I still use the mic in the kits they are better than the built in mics in the roof) Make sure you use the correct earth pin in the Saab wiring kit and NOT the MIC - or the SPEAKER - or you will see a lot of that black smoke that Lucas packs into all of its electronic componets
