V6 diesel will make sure the 9-5 will also be sold in countries like Germany, France, Italy etc. Every serious car manufacturor in Europe has a diesel for it's travel limousine, and the 9-3 TiD is a great car. This Alero/Grand Am story of you is also not true. It will be built on the same platform as the next generation Opel/Vauxhaull Vectra; the Epsilon platform. Maybe that a new generation of american GM cars will also be built on this platform, but they did not help developing the platform.
