I don't think it's bad for the car, but it may cause the computer some "run time" problems and performance may suffer. You might want to reset the computer after the new exhaust is installed (in most cars you can just disconnect the battery for a while and then reconnect it.) BTW - in my experience, car's without muffler are not loud for the driver unless the throttle/air flow is closed, so as long as you keep accelerating, it shouldn't be too loud :-) bob
