Can anyone tell me what >the recommended Tire pressures for these Wheel/Tire combination is ? First, there's a label inside the drivers door jamb (on the door itself with this info). ---- From the manual for the 97 SE turbo with 205/55/R16: 1-3 people, 0-100mph 32/33 max load, 0-100mph 35/35 max load, 100-max 39/41 with a convertible, 2 people is = 1-3 in sedan reduce by 1.5psi for each less person 5 is full load in sedan, 4 in convertible. ----- In general, higher pressures mean higher gas mileage and faster response from the tires (quicker handling). However, they also mean more wandering on the road, a bouncy feel as you drive, and a harsher ride. If I were you, I'd start out at the bottom end of the scale an increase pressures by a pound or two every couple of days to feel the difference. You'll find the pressures you like. Be sure to measure pressures when COLD. Hot tires are about 5 pounds higher (depending on how hot). Get a good gauge and measure at home before you start out to drive. If you need to go to a station to fill the tires, check at home before you set out and then again at the station so you know what the "real" COLD pressure is and how much they've pumped up. CHECK THE MAX PRESSURE on your tires to make sure that you are not exceeding that limit when hot ie., if the max pressure is 44lbs, and tires gain 5 lbs from heat, then you'd never want to go over 39lbs when cold. bob
