Subject: 20,000 mile service 1999 9-3

Looks lilke I've made it to this milestone. I'm kind of regreting the 20,000 mile service. There is nothing wrong with my car at this time and it seems outrageous to have to pay hundreds of dollars to have a mechanic check my fluid levels, rotate my tires and change the oil. Does anyone know of a way around this? Does everyone just eat this cost as part of keeping the waranty in check? Instead, can I just select which things I want the dealer to do, such as oil change and write that I did the other things myself and still keep my waranty in check. I know that saab repairs are costly, and I don't mind spending good money to fix something important, but it seems redicilous for stuff so routine. Also, how do you shut off the service remindar. I've tried pushing clear according to my manual in all sorts of combinations and it won't permanently clear. I start up my car at least a dozen times a day when I'm using it and I don't need the constant remindar, especially with 500 miles left to service. Thanks
