You might want to check the high beam relay in the engine compartment. Take it out and re-insert it. I've had a similar problem on my '93 9000CSE, and fiddling with the relay has fixed it (temporarily at least, though I've not noticed the problem for several months now) On my car the relay is on the drivers side, inside of a plastic case.
