If your's is an auto trans, it does not have a clutch. The symptoms you describe are typical for an auto tranny, especially a Saab, on the way out. You might be able to try to flush the old fluid and change the filter. If your's is a 900, you will also have check the torque converter as well. If this does not help, you will have to replace the tranny with a rebuilt or new one. Check www.saabnet.com for possible sources in the USA or overseas.
