However, the same "feature" is what helps the rims bend in potholes. After you add in the extra weight and rotational issues with 17" wheels, I'm not a big fan. That said, I suspect that much of the squirm you're feeling is also the "snow" tire design. They are know for this, even when you swap the same size. The design goal of a snow tire is _not_ handling.
