Subject: Re: service issues ?

CD, If you want to see a rainbow, sometimes you have to stand in the rain. Regarding the issue of difficulty of finding quality garages, I think it often depends on your locale. I'm lucky to live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it hasn't been too tough to find qualified shops; I just had to ask around a bit, sometimes even asking other 900 drivers I see on the road. The guy I just bought my '92 900S from had the head rebuilt, including a valve job, a couple of months ago. The receipt was for $275.00, and he pulled/replaced the head himself. Considering the longterm benefits of this type of rebuild, I don't think that's overly expensive. Buy one. Good luck, Dennis CDantes wrote: > Im looking into getting a used Saab, and Ive heard conflicting stories about > service; that getting Saabs serviced is more difficult/expensive, including > smaller repairs. > Can anyone offer an opinion ?
