Subject: '93 9000 APC problem

Saabers, I've got a '93 9000 CSE with a boost problem. On an intermittent basis, the car gets into a mode where the boost is essentially unregulated by the APC system with the gauge going fully into the red zone until the fuel cutoff is activated. I'm familiar with the operation of the APC system and most of the components having previously replaced the solenoid and other components. I know that most of the failure modes of the APC system send the turbo into 'basic boost' mode but was wondering what failures would cause a behavior like this. Responses from someone with the appropriate manual would be appreciated. Regards, Brian
