recently had the same problem on my 95 cs. Replaced the resistor with one from the scrap yard in under 10 minutes. It's working fine now. Note if you have a haynes manual don't follow it. The have it all wrong. You vcan acces the resistors straight away after removing the false bul head. No need to remove anything else beside the electric connector.
