Replace the battery in this one and get another remote and have it programmed to the system (at a dealer only). I have seen remotes on ebay cheap. If that unit gets lost or dies (plunged into water, etc), I think it is a heap of change to get the alarm fixed. I heard 1200.00 or so. As it is, it is 30.0 or so to get the remote programmed to the system It is a pain, but it is a fairly secure system...
