Subject: Re: What wheels can I use for my 900?

The bolt pattern is the same from 1968 99's till 1987 900's but the axle bolt/hub configuration on the early 900's was different then the later years, and differnent then the non-turbo 99's The brake disc required a Hub puller to remove, where sometime in '81 it was change to a bolt on brake disc The 79-81 900's came equiped with Michelin TRX style wheels (metric tires- NFG) or the 'Incas'. The EMS wheels (aka soccerballs) will work but they need to be the 900 version, the early 99 soccerballs have the same bolt pattern but again the axle/hub height is different. In 82 ( midyear 81) the wheel and axles were changed to a manhole style. These would fit the bolt pattern but you wont be able to use the center cap for covering your nuts. lol the later style manhole used on 85 to 87 Turbos and 87 S cars will bolt up and I am almost positive the center cap will fit. So I would look for a set of INCAs from a 99T or 900T. Or a 85 to 87 alloy. Or change the Hubs/axles and you could use any early Alloy. It will make your next brake job a lot easier! Ok the sales pitch ....you knew it was coming. I have both the INCA's and the 85 to 87 alloys. You want em?
