Knackered is British for 'worn out', 'tired', or otherwise 'damaged'. I do not know if I agree with the headgasket portion of the diagnostic. It MAY be knackered, but probably not. Check for normal head gasket things first. 1) water in the oil, 2)dropping water level with no obvious leaks, 3) low compression in one or more cylinders. If it is ok, then diagnose the FI. Does the 'check engine' light come on at any time? Does this happen when it is raining only? Is there any other information you can give us? Does it start and runs fine and then this occurs sporadically or all the time? Blue smoke is oil, white is antifreeze, black is fuel (rich). Does it idle smoothly? etc. We need more info to help.
